Need for Speed

This week's color challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary stumped me a bit...Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Gray.  I had the Need for Speed Stamp Set picked out and as I started working with the colors I just couldn't get it right.  I also had my jet colored and cut out so I was using it no matter what.  lol  Finally, I came up with something I was satisfied with.  I decided to sponge my sky and add a big Pumpkin Pie sun.  I could live with this.  lol  The Real Red layer is embossed with the Stripes Embossing Folder and I added a couple of Pumpkin Pie brads to finish it off.  A pretty basic layout don't you think?

We are also in week 2 of the New Catalog Edition and the projects have been fabulous.  If you are looking for some great ideas, then come join the fun!  It's not to late to subscribe.  Also, don't forget to check out what the other designers came up with for this week's challenge.  Have a great Thursday.

Nice clouds and I like the way you sponged the sun to give it more depth.
