Stitched Stockings

Tonight I wanted I wanted to share one of my favorite Christmas cards.  A couple of weeks ago I saw the cutest card on Connie Babbert's Blog- Inkspired Treasures.  She had made the cutest little fireplace on a Halloween card.  When I saw this card I envisioned hanging stockings from the Stitched Stockings Stamp Set.   First, I took a piece of the brick patterned paper from the Pick Your Poison DSP and brayered it with Cajun Craze Classic Ink.  I then inked the edges with a bit of Chocolate Chip Classic Ink.  The mantle is popped up using two Stampin' Dimensionals stacked on each other.  I also stamped it with the Woodgrain Background Stamp.  As for the flames...they are actually wings from the Bird Builder Punch.  Finally, I finished my stockings off by adding some Silver Glimmer Paper and a tiny tag.

I also wanted to mention that I finally have a monthly newsletter put together thanks to Heather Wright- Porto over at Blogs By Heather.  Each month I will have an exclusive offer for my Newsletter Subscribers, useful tips and tricks and I will also share projects that may or may not make to my blog.  So if you're interested in checking it out make sure to subscribe to it.  It's located on the right side of the page under Subscribe to My Newsletter.  Lastly, I wanted to mention that I will soon have a printable gift certificate located on the side of my blog as well.   You will be able to purchase it through PayPal and immediately print it off.

I hope everyone has a fantastic Tuesday.  Take care.

I really like this card. It is very clever. I've gotten the punch, and hope to use it next year. I hope I can find some brick paper.
