Simply Soft

Today's challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary is a fantastic color challenge...Peach Parfait, Lucky Limeade and Pool Party.  What is so fantastic about these colors is you can make a card that is bright and vibrant or a card that is soft and subtle.  At first I wanted to go bright, but then decided to go subtle after discovering a hostess set that had not been inked up yet.  A crime I know!  lol  The set...Simply Soft.  A set from Stampin' Up's Main Idea Book and Catalog.  This such a pretty set and is perfect for just about any occasion.  I decided to make a sympathy card because my card stash is for sure lacking in this section.  I started by using the En Francais image stamped in Crumb Cake and then stamping the flowers in Timber Brown StazOn Ink over that on Confetti White Card Stock.  The insides of the flowers were stamped using Peach Parfait.  I then watercolored the leaves and stems with a bit of Lucky Limeade Classic Ink.  Lastly, I added the butterflies and Lucky Limeade Organdy Ribbon to finish it off.

We hope that you join us for this week's challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary!!  Also, don't forget to stop by and see what the other designers fabulously created!  Have a fantastic Thursday and take care.

What a beautiful sympathy card! I love the layered stamp look (don't know why I don't do that more often). The butterflies are a perfect touch!

Very pretty. You've toned down that lime by blending it in here. Great working with you on Create!

Love what you did with the stamped layer Carrie. Oh and don't feel bad, I have a few stamp sets that have never seen ink either!
