You're My Type

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday.  Today I want to share a card I made using the new You're My Type Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I don't think this is my favorite card I've made using this stamp set, but I really wanted to use it with the Mini Vintage Tags.  I just thought they belonged together.  lol  For this card I scored the edges of the Baja Breeze using a scoring tool to give it a bit of a border.  I also used Mini Glue Dots to ruffle my Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon across the front.  Finally, I finished it off with a Cherry Cobbler Flower to give it just a little pop of color.

Have a great day! Take care.

Supplies:  You're My Type & Just Perfect Alphabet Stamp Sets, Baja Breeze, Early Espresso & Very Vanilla Card Stocks, First Edition DSP, Early Espresso Classic Ink, Itty Bitty Punches, Scoring Tool, Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon, Mini Vintage Tags, Metallic Brads and Mini Glue Dots

Love, love, love this card. The little flower, the ribbon, and the vintage tags--it's just all so great! Smiles, Elizabeth

I love this card! The tags are perfect and remind me of old typewriter keys and the ribbon behind the image looks like the old typewriter ribbon! Your red flower was the perfect addition of color!

Agreeing with Margaret. I am from the generation of typing class; keyboards were a few years off. The very first thing that popped into my head when I saw your card were the high school memories of changing those darn ribbons and having inky fingers for the remainder of the day. We've come a long way, baby. Your card is darling and completely captures the look and feel of those old Smith-Corona machines!
