Elegant Bird Journal

Today there is a great sketch over at Create with Connie and Mary for the Saturday Challenge.  I started out using this sketch for a card and well...I got carried away and ended up using an On Board Journal I found in a drawer instead.  I used the new Elegant Bird Die and Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit for the front of this Journal  Once again this week...I'm getting out of my comfort zone.  The Blossom Builders Kit is NOT something that I would normally purchase or use, but I couldn't resist the pink rhinestones.  However, I just love it now that I have used it.  I also embossed the bird's wing using the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder.  To give my flowers a little more dimension I curled the edges a bit using my Bone Folder and stuck Stampin' Dimensionals in between each layer.  To finish it off I added a Hat Pin and Trinket Heart.

There is still time to join the Occasions Edition 2012 over at Create with Connie and Mary.  We are just finishing up our third week and the projects have been awesome!   If you join now you can enjoy three more weeks of fabulous new projects everyday and you have access to the previous weeks projects as well.  Also, don't forget to check out what the rest of the Challenge Team came up with for this sketch.  Have a great weekend and take care.
