Petal Cone Pocket

One of the great perks of being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator is getting the first peek at at the new Occasions Mini and Sale- A- Bration Catalogs.  I've had about a month to drool over these catalogs (when I had a chance between all of the Christmas Chaos)  and finally placed my order a few days ago.  I have to say the Occasions Mini and this Sale- A- Bration Catalog are out of this world.  I think there is something for everyone.  There are lots of awesome new dies, stamp sets and accessories.  I can't wait to get my box of goodies and get to creating!!  It will be like an early Christmas Present for me and I've already gotten one early Christmas Present from my wonderful husband Mike.  He surprised me Friday night with a beautiful new pair of earrings.  I had a rough day, but he knew how to cheer me up.  Those small surprises mean the world to me and that's why I love him more and more everyday.  And the fact that he has given me two beautiful boys and shared his wonderful families with me.  This is the season to be thankful for what we have and I am very much thankful for our wonderful families, Mike and my boys.  So enough with that and on to today's project!! 

This is one of my favorite projects that I've made this season.  I used the Petal Cone and Perfect Pennant Dies to create this little wall pocket.  Normally you would cut out two pieces to make the petal cone, but I just cut one out.  However, I did have to add an extra tab out of a scrap on one side of the cone so it would attach properly to the pennant.  I used the Frostwood DSP to make the pocket and the tag is from the Tags Till Christmas Stamp Set.  I also added a piece of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding so this little pocket could hang.  Inside I placed this cute little snowman ornament, a piece of white chocolate candy and some glittery red greenery.  Right now this pocket is hanging on my Christmas tree, but I will be sending it to school for Gavin's teacher this week.  I hope she enjoys it.
