Pines & Poinsettias- Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Challenge

This week over at Create with Connie and Mary the Saturday Challenge is a color challenge.  The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Real Red and Wild Wasabi.  At first I struggled with this challenge a bit because I wouldn't normally use Cherry Cobbler and Real Red together, but these colors are used together in the Holly Berry Suite in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  They also look fantastic together in the catalog.  So I just jumped in and this is what I came up with.  This card is heavy on the bling and could not be mailed.  lol  However, it would be fabulous on a gift.  The Real Red background was made using the new Snow Burst Embossing Folder and then I sponged Whisper White Craft Ink over it.  Using a Two- Way Glue Pen, I dotted the centers of the snow flakes and added some silver glitter.  The tree is actually on of the pennants from the Perfect Pennants Die.  I have used this die for lots of different things besides what it was intended for.  I decided to use Cherry Cobbler for the scallop trim and Seam Binding on the Christmas tree.  The tree topper image is from the Pines and Poinsettias Stamp Set and I added a few Mini Jingle Bells as well.  The presents are actually scrap pieces of the Holly Berry Bouquet DSP that I had left over from over projects.  I dressed them up a bit with White Baker's Twine, Real Red Brads and Mini Jingle Bells.
