This is a quick Halloween project I made a few weeks ago using one of the Kraft Gift Boxes from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I just simply covered the box in the First Edition DSP. The little greeting on the front of the box is from the Grateful Greetings Stamp Set. It is layered on a piece of Sticky Sheet covered with orange glitter. I also add a Paper Daisy behind it. The witch's hat was simply made by cutting a 10 inch circle in half and folding it into a cone. I cheated and used my Cricut to cut the circle, but you could easily trace around a dinner plate or anything that's about 10 inches in diameter. The smaller the circle the smaller your hat will be. However, before I made the cone, I spritzed my DSP with water and wadded it into a ball. I then let it dry. Once it was dry I inked it with Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink. I also fringed the bottom of my cone all the way around and fanned the fringes out. For the brim of the hat I just used a 3 1/2 inch circle cut from Basic Black Cardstock. I folded it in half and cut a circle out of the middle. Finally, I added some snail around the circle I cut out, placed the cone in it, and pressed the fringed pieces to the bottom of the brim. I also added a dyed feather and a Paper Daisy to the hat to finish it off.
I still have a few more Halloween and Fall projects to share. I'm hoping to really start working on my Christmas projects and gifts in the next week or so. I have most of my Christmas shopping done and I'm already getting into the Christmas Spirit. lol Normally, I have my Christmas Card design done by now, but I'm a little behind on that this year. We've had lots going on in the Sampsel Household. I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday. Take care.
