D is for Dog 8x8 Scrapbook Page and Create a Cupcake

Yesterday evening I realized that there was a huge space between my header and the first post on my blog.  It was also taking a really long time to load.  I couldn't figure out what was going on, but I managed to get it figured out and fixed last night.  On top of that, I'm still fighting a nasty cold and I feel terrible.  My first project is a 8x8 scrapbook page.  I am trying to get out of my comfort zone a bit and realize not every page needs to be a 12x12.  lol  There are so many times I just have a single 4x6 picture that I want to use, so I blow it up to 5x7.  Not anymore!  I really liked the 8x8 page.  I used the D is for Dog stamp set and the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet.  I dug out my Crimper and used it on the Real Red cardstock.  I noticed in the Stampin' Success this month that they had used it on a couple of pages.  I honestly forgot I even had it.  I also used a piece from the Styled Silver Hodgepode Hardware.  I cut the dog bone out and stuck in the middle of the hardware with a Stampin' Dimensional.  The colors I used were Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Real Red.   

The next picture is of a card I made using the Create a Cupcake stamp set and punch.  It was a very simple card to make.  I punched out Bashful Blue Circles and stuck them to the card so it kind of has a faux embossed texture.  I guess that's what you would call it.  lol  I think its kind of hard to see in the picture and I should have added a close up.  The colors I used on this card are Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Real Red.
