Bring on the Cake and Nature Walk

I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend.  My first card is a birthday card I made for my husband Mike.  Tomorrow is his birthday and thist was a very simple card to make.  At first I wanted to keep the color scheme black and white, but then I quickly realized it needed some color.  I used the Bring on the Cake stamp set out of they new Occasions Mini.  I hope this set makes it into the big catalog this year.  It's a fantastic set to have.  I used the 2 1/2 inch Circle and the Decorative Label punches for the punched pieces.  I also added a Black Glimmer brad for a little extra something.  Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Very Vanilla are the colors I used.  I also used a little piece of the Newsprint DSP.

My next card is made using the Nature Walk stamp set.  I just simply stamped the bees and flowers onto the First Edition DSP.  I also inked the edges and added some Champagne Glass Glitter to give a little more of a vintage look.  The vintage look wouldn't be complete without a couple of Vintage Trinkets as well.  Not Quite Navy, Early Espresso, and Cherry Cobbler are the colors I used.

Well, that's it for my projects tonight.  I hope everyone has a great Monday!!  Take Care.

Happy Birthday wishes to your hubby! What a great card you've made him. I love that set too and hope that I can get it before the mini is gone. TFS!
