I Totally Scrapbooked My iPhone...

well, at least the cover anyway.  lol  As I was surfing Pinterest I noticed a pin on making your own iPhone cover by simply adding a piece of scrapbooking paper into a clear case.  I thought this was a fantastic idea and decided to take it one step further...I made a mini layout for mine.  This was one of the quickest projects I've done in a while and it turned out super cute.  I cut a piece of 2 in. x 4 1/2 in. DSP ( I believe those are the right dimensions) and simply rounded the corners with my Corner Punch.  Next, I laid the DSP in the phone case and traced around the hole for the camera.  I then carefully cut it out with my Paper Snips, but don't worry it doesn't have to be pretty.  It's amazing how forgiving the case is once you get the DSP in there.  Then I just added my elements and picture.  However, you want to make sure you don't have too many layers or else the layout and the phone won't fit snugly in the case.  I also added a couple of staples, but I pulled the sides up after I got them stapled on and snipped them off.  You might also add a piece of tape over the back of the staples so it will not scratch the back of the phone if you decide to use them.

I also realize that this is only my second post this week, but we've had lots of exciting things going on this house.  Today Gavin turned 11!  Oh my...where did the time go?  We were lucky enough to be able to celebrate with our family.  Gavin decided he wanted fried chicken and raspberry cheesecake for his birthday so my mom fixed just that for about 16 people!!  It was fantastic and Gavin had a great time.  Next weekend we will be having a sleepover with a few of Gavin's friends.  That should be exciting...lol

Also, this week Chase graduated to a big boy bed.  It's been a big change and a little rough on both of us, but we're making it through.  About two months ago I redecorated his room in vintage motorcycles because I knew this day was coming.  There are officially no signs of a nursery anymore.  I do have pictures to share at some point of his new room as well.  Finally, I am happy to announce that I'm going to be an aunt again!  My sister and her husband are expecting their second child just in time for Christmas.  I am way excited about this and have already began thinking about plans for a baby sprinkle.

I hope everyone has fantastic weekend.  Take care.
