French Foliage Birthday

Life sure has been busy in the Sampsel household.  We had a nice long weekend, but I didn't do any stamping.  I can't believe it.  lol  However, I did manage to make a Fall card using the French Foliage Stamp Set last week.  I thought this would be the perfect card to kick off September.  The First Edition DSP is cut out using the Top Note Die for the Big Shot.  This is one of my favorite dies.  I also cut each of the leaves out and inked the edges with Early Espresso Classic Ink.  They were also spritzed with Log Cabin Smooch Spritz.

I also wanted to share one other picture tonight.  Fall is probably my favorite time of year and I love decorating with pumpkins and gourds.  In fact I put my Fall decor out over the weekend.  I was lucky enough this summer to grow an assortment of my own gourds and pumpkins.  They have taken over the yard on the side of my house but, the boys and I sure have enjoyed taking care of them and watching them grow.  These are some of the gourds I have grown this summer.  We still have lots more on the vines that won't be ready for a few more weeks.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday.  Take care.

This card makes me wish I had a fall birthday! Beautiful!I had noticed the huge vine, but I thought it was your pumpkins-how cool that you grew gourds-that one looks like a duck-that is awesome.

Carrie,

Your fall card is stunning! I love all the individual leaves. I too decorated the inside of my home for autumn. I just couldn't wait any longer. Your white pumpkins and gourds look amazing!

The White crook-necked gourd looks like a swan. I would definitely paint that up to look like the swan!
