Recess- The Paper Player's Challenge #50
I hope everyone's week is off to a great start. I decided to play along with the Paper Player's Challenge for this week's challenge. The challenge is kind thanks. I decided to make a thank you card for Gavin's teacher using the Recess stamp set from Stampin' Up's Summer Mini Catalog. This is a very simple card and probably took me less than 10 minutes to put together. I also used two new In Colors from the upcoming Idea Book and Catalog. Meet Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo. I have to say Lucky Limeade is going to be one of my new favorites. The pennant on the card is also a sneak peek product from the catalog. It's the new Perfect Pennant Die for the Big Shot. I can see many many uses for this new die. The little guy is stamped with Black Staz On Ink and then I used a blender pen and my Classic Ink pads to color him in. I punched him out with the 2 1/2 Circle punch and added a button. The colors I used were Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Real Red and Whisper White.

Carrie, this is soooo cute and the little boy image-has spiked hair like Gavin! I am sure the teacher will love it. I am a sucker for those bright colors for kids layouts and cards.

Oh, this is a fabulous color combo Carrie! Love seeing the new colors and how great they look with Real Red. Your use of the pennant die is sooo clever! Great coloring on the little boy too! So glad you could join us at the Paper Players!
