Wow, I can't believe it's been a week since I last posted. It has been a crazy week. Both of my boys have been really sick. In fact, I think this was the sickest Chase has ever been. Chase began getting sick last Wednesday. He started out vomitting and then came a fever that would not break. And if that wasn't enough, he broke out in a terrible rash. He was covered in this rash and so we had several sleepless days and nights in this house. The first real day that Chase seemed to be getting better, Gavin started in with it. Now he has the rash too, but it's not as bad as Chase's rash was or still is. To top it all off my niece, nephew and sister all had it as well. I really didn't intend on going a week without posting, but my boys have occupied all of my time in the last week. When Chase was sleeping, we were sleeping. Also, that meant there was no stamping last week or this week for that matter. Tomorrow, I hope to start getting back into our normal routine.
Ok, on to my project. Tonight I wanted to share a card I made using the On the Grow stamp set from Stampin' Up's new Summer Mini Catalog. It really was a simple card to make. I water colored the scooter with Classic Ink Pads using an Aqua Painter on the Watercolor Paper. I also added a couple of drops of Crumb Cake Classic Ink Refill to water I had in a spray bottle and misted the image with it. It just kept the background from looking so stark I think. I also punched the bottom of the card base with the Scallop Punch and ran a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock through it. I am also including a video for this technique. It's super easy and I've had a couple of people ask about it. The colors I used were Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo.
Here is the short video on how to do the scallop edge.
Well, I have a couple of other things to catch up on tonight before I can go to bed. I hope everyone has a fabulous Thursday. Take Care.
So sorry to hear about your little ones, that is awful, glad they are on the mend. Your card is beautiful and love the idea of the ink refill to water and giving the paper a spritz, never really thought of that. Thanks for the video on the partial scallop, love that idea as well. Hope everyone continues to get better and you can get some sleep.
I'm married to my wonderful husband Mike and we are blessed to have 2 beautiful boys...Gavin & Chase. My days are spent learning interesting new things from my boys & paper crafting when I have the chance...with Stampin' Up products of course.

Great card and I love the idea on misting the card! Hope your family is feeling much better. It stinks when our little ones don't feel well...
