Tye-Dyed Birthday Card

I managed to get quite a bit done today despite having a sick little boy.  I got a whole scrapbook page and half of another page done.  I try to stamp everyday while Chase is napping.  Some days that just don't happen.   It really is my therapy.  lol  Tonight I wanted to share the birthday card I made for my mom.  She is a child of the 60s and 70s and loves peace signs.  In fact her cake this year has them on it as well.  So in keeping with the theme, I made a tye-dyed card with a peace sign on it.  I brayered the background to look like tye-dye.  I used Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Old Olive Classic Ink Refills to make the tye-dye on Glossy White card stock.  I kind of have my own technique for brayering.  I made the peace sign using a string on rhinestones that are adhered together.  Normally you would just cut them apart and use them, but I left them together and pieced them together to make the peace sign.  I also used the Clear Flower die to cut out the flower and the Go Go Boots Alphabet dies for the words.   The colors are Basic Black, Melon Mambo, and Tempting Turquoise.

I will also be posting a couple of other brayered cards in the next week or so.  If anyone is interested in how I brayer, just leave me a comment and I will post a tutorial on how I do it.  Well, that's it for me.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday.  Take Care.

That is a great card. I like the uniqueness of it. I would love to see how you brayer. I have a brayer, but as of yet, haven't used it. By the way, I am your newest follower. I saw you on SC. You can find me at yolanda-tryingtobecreative.blogspot.com. Again, thanks for sharing! It looks great!
