Valentine Defined, Lots of Love Letterpress Plate and Filled with Love

Hi Everyone!!  Well, this is the first post on my new blog.  I hope I get this right.  LOL!!  The two cards I'm posting tonight are Valentine cards made with a couple of the new stamp sets and one of the letterpress plates.  The first card is made using the tree from the Valentine Defined stamp set in the new Occasions Mini.  I just used my Stampin' Up markers to color it in and then I cut it out.  My favorite part is the clouds.  I don't know if you can see them in the picture very well.  I just used some whisper white craft ink and a sponge dauber.  I also used a scrap of old olive for the grass and added some Stampin' Dimensionals.   The background stamp is also the Woodgrain stamp.

The second card is made using the the Lots of Love Letterpress plate.  I actually used watercolor paper and craft ink.  I think the watercolor paper made a more embossed (or debossed) crisp image.  I also used the glimmer paper for the heart and a bitty button as well.  The greeting is from the Filled with Love stamp set.

You can kind of see the debossed image.  Well, I hope these turned out Ok.  It looks like I have some work to do with my camera and lighting as well.  LOL.  Have a great day!!

Welcome to the Blogosphere Carrie! Looking really good. Love your Valentine Defined card on this post -lots of color, texture and style but still pretty clean and simple - my favorite style.

Looking forward to seeing what you do here and I'm adding you to my own blogs papercrafter list.
